Our Story
History
It started on a Thursday night. Four friends, a bar, and an honest excuse to watch Thursday Night Football. Nobody planned a run club — they just needed a reason to get together, and somehow that turned into one.
What began as the original four has grown into something none of us saw coming. Race Days & IPAs was built on a simple idea: run hard, then celebrate harder.
We’ve tackled 5Ks, halfs, and marathons across New York and beyond — through rain, heat, and everything in between. Every race adds a chapter. Every finish line is followed by a well-earned pint.
The club has grown to a community of runners of all paces and abilities, united by a love of the sport and the post-run debrief. Whether you’re chasing a PR or just chasing the beer, there’s a place for you here.
